The goals include &#8220;the development and sale of blockchain-based software&#8221; and &#8220;the sale and brokerage of cryptocurrencies,&#8221; raising the question of whether LG would set up a cryptocurrency exchange.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When questioned about the company&#8217;s plans to launch its own exchange or platform, an LG spokesperson said, &#8220;Nothing has been decided yet.&#8221; We just highlighted business categories in broad strokes.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rumors of <a href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/korean-bithumb-exchange-to-launch-nft-marketplace\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">LG developing a crypto-related<\/a> marketplace first surfaced earlier this year, when Bithumb CEO Heo Baek-young revealed that the exchange was collaborating with &#8220;a large company&#8221; to create a nonfungible token (NFT) marketplace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The IT giant has been aggressive in NFT adoption and integration, saying earlier this month that it was collaborating with blockchain tech startup Kakao&#8217;s Ground X to launch a range of NFT-capable smart TVs. The New York-based bank, which has a digital assets department, polled 172 clients on their views on digital assets. In the next one to two years, 60% of respondents polled anticipate growing their digital asset holdings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of those who were enthusiastic about cryptocurrency, 32% indicated they planned to &#8220;substantially expand&#8221; their crypto holdings. Meanwhile, 51% of its clients reported exposure to cryptocurrency, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/markets\/2021\/03\/05\/40-of-goldman-sachs-clients-reported-exposure-to-crypto-survey\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">up from 40% the prior year<\/a>. According to the report, about 55% might commit up to 5% of total assets to cryptocurrency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the Goldman Sachs digital asset client survey, institutional investors are warming up to DeFi, cryptocurrencies, and NFTs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While BTC and ETH remained popular (22 percent each), 15 percent of respondents were interested in altcoins, 14 percent in DeFi token exposure, and 9 percent in NFTs. This cryptocurrency market&#8217;s week-long rally has reawakened bullish crypto investors. By opening the project to developers, the DApp\u2019s source code will be able to be verified by anyone.
