SaTT Database Migration: Rigorous modifications

The database is one of the most critical elements of the SaTT DApp. In addition, it is a sensitive element to handle because it contains all the aspects concerning our users: email address, password, link to blockchain account, etc. A single mistake can cost the loss of many items. Our openness to Open Source is essential. Without a perfectly organized database, the developer community would not have expressed its full potential. The previous database was tedious to use. We’ll explain why.

When creating the SaTT and the first test version of the DApp, the team used the model from their previous database for testing. A relational database in MySQL. This system was functional to carry out the first tests but is not compatible with the available diagram of the DApp SaTT and the opening towards Open Source. Therefore, a new database has been deployed in NoSQL, which offers better compatibility and better harmonization for the SaTT database.
